Hey fellow readers! Today I'm bringing you my REVIEW of the latest Heroes episode for season 3. This episode was aired November 18, 2008.
So lets begin! Oh And before you guys read on SPOILERS ARE EVERYWHERE! But then again you probably seen it already so no biggie.
Episode 9 Season 3 Heroes : "It's Coming" The title for this episode just sounds like a bad porno flick that I would probably watch. But please hold the Ali Larter for goodness sake.
The last episode prior to this episode we find Hiro Nakamura in a tight situation with Farther Petrelli (Arthur), who felt like he needed to slash off random safari dude's head... Which would later appear as some kind of foreshadowing walking dead... JUST LIKE LOST!.. Wow. So I am watching this and I hope Hiro does something cool and interesting like blink his ass out of there but he doesn't, but instead Father Petrelli wipes Hiro's current Adult memories and replaces them with his 10 year old memories. Now I know, that just seems like a stupid ass concept to work with... But if anything Heroes did that worked right, since the beginning of this absurd Season 3, is the comedic elements that ensues this idea of turning our favorite squinter into a hyperactive little 10 year old with a body of a full grown dude, or at least a dude.
After wiping and replacing Hiro's memory the dude pretty much turns around and sees a big ass painting of the eclipse on the damn cliff. This has to be the most retarded concept ever... EVER. How does a normal dude with powers to paint the future and at that goes into some kind of weird ass trance with his eyeball all whited out and climb in mid air to paint something like a friggen eclipse. Right, totally makes complete sense. My ass. Seeing this picture Arthur gets a little frightened for what is foreshadowed. So he just warps Ando and Hiro back to Japan.
Then directly after this. Arthur and Sylar discuss the potential of his true power... which is kind of given a new life in this episode... the key is... EMPATHY... wow. Arthur sends Sylar into a cell with Elle (Katherine Bell) to heal her. To summarize this there's a lot of overblown, over the top, over emotional babble and gut-renching anger. Did I mention she shocks the hair off Sylar multiple times? Honestly this was really cool the first time but after the 4th time... and more... I don't know what to say. The babble went from screams to a normal argument you would probably see from any normal Married couple, aww. So the gist of this whole scene is that Sylar gets Elle to forgive him and Sylar miraculously takes her power... BUT not just that he didn't even need to cut her head open... and Elle still retained her power. Love scene ensues. Serious it was more like Sylar trying to get some girl action then trying to help her... maybe both arn't mutually exclusive, we'll see.
The next scene is dealing with Peter and Claire runaway from the Fire throwing brother of Claire's biological mom and the dude that feeds on Fear. Theres alot of stupid going on that has been done to death. Like the constant bickering toward Claire to NOT be doing stuffs that all the Heroes do. I mean seriously the chick don't listen to anybody why even bother bitching about it. This scene felt like a serious filler with not much of a movement in the story.
Ahh now to my favorite part of the whole damn episode. One of the things I enjoyed immensely during the 1st Heores season was the comedic element regarding our favorite squinter Hiro! This episode for the first time, I felt, successfully brought it back. It was refreshing after weeks of serious headaches during the other previous episodes of Heroes S3.
So Ando and Hiro are at some Tokyo Bowling ally and Ando is trying his best to remind Hiro he actually has cool ass super powers. After some babble Hiro figures out how to use his powers. And evidently it involves just squinting and distorting the face to the EXTREME. Wow thats awesome because I always thought it had to do with what goes on your mind. But I see what the show is doing, it's funnier when Hiro squnts? I don't know its funny and endearing I guess. I like it when Hiro starts using his power and goofing the crap around. Hes just being who he is, a kid. Geez if I was a kid with super powers that would be the best! It would be Kickbutt!
Ando then continues to teach him how to teleport, which Hiro does to an American Comic book store. The part I liked about this scene was when Hiro starts listing off changes that occured to our favorite real life super heroes. Let me paraphrase, "Why is captain america dead? Why did spider-man reveal his identity? Why is the hulk RED?" I digg it because I'm a fellow comic nerd.
Continuing onward with the episode... The scenes are now surrounding Nathan Petrelli and Ali Larter's Strauss chick... Seriously these characters to me are just filler people... along with Peter too since he just got really dumb and at that off his original character it's nuts. I don't even want to talk about these scenes much because it felt so predictable. Quick summary, Strauss chick makes a deal with Arthur to make Nathan his spokesperson for giving super hero power to the masses. DUMB.
Then somewhere along the line, we have Parkman and that Speed Chick trying to save Angela Petrelli in her mind trap. And to shorten this up they do, only because Arthur released her. What the dumb. Currently they leave no explanation why... but then again Heroes leaves alot unanswered and never leaving good answers.
Finally, An honorable mention THE RETURN OF HOBO-Colossus! This time he got injected with some type of syrum that Suresh is formulating with the formula Arthur provided. This doesn't make any sense either... I thought Hobo Colossus already had power? Like turning body parts into steal... Owells thats just Heroes afterall.
The ending for this episode was a type of Army build up of people from Angela and Arthur side. IT was pretty epic. But then again this can get pretty stupid if nothing epic ever happens.
I give this episode a 3/5. Only because I liked Hiro's scenes.

Authentic movie costumes were once hard to come by. And when someone did come along with one, they usually wanted up to $5,000 bucks or more for 'em! Now a days, I'm happy to say that it's easy for the serious collector of costumes to find what they're looking for. I'm a huge movie nut, so I can appreciate a great looking costume that is made to last.
Let's take for example all the Batman costume choices. When the Batman movie first come out was so darn expensive that only those with very deep pockets could afford one. I heard one went for over $10,000! That's just too expensive in my opinion. These days you can get great looking, high quality costumes for a lot less.
The Superman costume is different than you would expect from any regular Superman costume you're used to seeing. This collector's deluxe costume is something you would think came directly out of the DC Comics book itself. The pure artistry of the muscles coupled with the ripped real looking Superman muscles will make any man look like the man of steel for sure. Heck, a skinny man will certainly turn heads.
The Hulk replica is just a trip and looks very real. Personally I never thought there would be any kind of Hulk replica costume that would do the movie justice but I was wrong. And all you Star Wars fans out there would surely appreciate great high quality costumes from that movie as well.
When you do invest in a higher quality replica costume, it truly is an investment. Be sure to enjoy your investments and take very good care of them.

No more draggy boring opportunity meetings!
Man... I just had to endure another 2 hours in a hotel seminar room listening to some guy going on and on and on about his view of how wonderful his life became after joining his MLM company and how everyone else in the world lived in hell working for someone else....
And the worst part of it was, it took him like 30 minutes before he finally left the stage and got someone else up to blast through the company background, products and pay plan... yawn...
Then finally some less than interesting nor motivating testimonials from people who obviously were asked to come up on stage just before the meeting and they were just trying to blurt off whatever they could think of out of the blue whilst trying to fight off the nervousness of being on stage for the first time in their life!
If you ask me, that is not what we call a professionally organized business opportunity meeting!
And when I turned around and scanned the room to check out the profile of the audience listening to the presentation, my eyes started to roll...
You see people dressed in clothes like they just woke up from bed, droopy eyes with no spark of energy in them and 6 year old kids sitting in the chairs with the "why is mommy forcing me to sit here like an idiot when I can be watching tv at home..." look on their face!
I'm about to laugh my head off. Lucky for me, I was just a participant, part of the audience, and I seriously pity the speaker who's trying his very best to keep the audience's eyes pinned on him whilst newcomers keep entering the room from the unbelievably irritating doorway which is right smack in the middle of the seminar room where everyone in the room can have a good look at "who's the next person coming into the room?"
I mean... why would anyone want to spend quality dollars on a high class hotel seminar room for a professional business presentation, but waste it all because they made all those mistakes that I mentioned above?
To me, that's just absurd.
But the sad fact is, so many distributors and even company management are still organising these types of MLM or Network Marketing business opportunity presentations without thinking through their heads or asking experienced professionals for some sound advice first.
So how do we conduct professional and powerful MLM or Network Marketing presentations?
Well, if I do a quick survey with 100 distributors in any MLM company and ask them this question,
"Would you like a powerful, short 45 minutes presentation or would you rather sit through a draggy, long winded 2 hour presentation instead?"
Guess how many will choose powerful and short?
My guess is everyone.
And that is so true in this day and age when people are just sick and tired of long winded 2 hours talks or seminars.
So my 2nd question will be, "What would you like to hear most in those 45 minutes?"
Everyone will give different answers, but it always boils down to,
"WIIFM - What's In It For Me?"
and "What do I have to do to succeed?"
Yup, it's that simple. People don't want to hear your life story or your enlightened view of life, they only care about themselves!
So the trick is to show them the benefits that your opportunity can provide.
Here are some key points you must have in your presentation flow and the time you should spend introducing them.
1. (5 minutes) YOU - that's right! What can you do to help them achieve their dreams? (Personal background, how you got to know about your company etc)
2. (5 minutes) YOUR UPLINE TEAM LEADERS - What can your upline team leaders do to help them achieve their dreams? (Success track record, leadership experience etc)
3. (5 minutes) YOUR COMPANY - How can your company management team help them achieve their dreams? (management experience, corporate background, logistics support etc)
4. (5 minutes) YOUR PRODUCTS - How can your products help them achieve their dreams? (be it the breakthrough technology gives you better health, younger skin or greater cost savings or whatever...)
5. (10 minutes) YOUR PAY PLAN - How can your pay plan help them achieve their financial dreams? This is the most important part, as people are here for a business opportunity which means they need to see the money! (You should be able to let people see that they can make big money within 10 minutes, otherwise your pay plan is just too complicated, otherwise just touch on the key points and don't go into the details unless they are interested, they can find out more later)
6. (5 minutes) YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM - How can your support system help them learn the ropes faster and do the business easier? (Your website tools, marketing kits, training support etc)
7. (5 minutes) YOUR PERFECT TIMING - Why is their timing perfect to join your opportunity? (Either you are in prelaunch or approaching momentum phase in your local market or globally. Young companies can talk about early stage positioning and older mature companies can talk about opening new markets or new product categories.)
8. (5 minutes) YOUR FAST START SUCCESS PLAN - This is the final kicker that's going to let them see the light. Give your audience a dummy proof step by step action plan that is so simple anyone can do it and it's guaranteed to make them fast cash at the start. If they persevere and keep following the plan, they will definitely see great rewards in the near future. (For example, can you give out 1 dvd a day, or pass a magazine out a day, or invite 1 person a day to view your website etc)
Once you have run through all 8 steps above, be it in a one on one table top presentation, a small group home meeting or a big group hotel meeting...
Your final step is to make a call to action by popping the big question...
"Are you A, B or C?" (A- big business builder, B- small business builder, C- try the products first)
After that, time for Question and Answers. This is really the most important part of the presentation because this is when the really interested people start clearing their doubts!
If you are not experienced enough to handle group questions, make sure you have more experienced uplines around to help you otherwise you will get bombarded with tough questions and you will look very bad. So make sure you have backup.
In my experience, once everyone clears up their doubts and feel that they do not have any more questions to ask, it just means that they are either ready to join or not.
So just pop the A, B or C question again and bring out the signup forms. Then tell them what to do.
"So for those who wish to join our team now, just fill up those forms! You can use credit card, cash or cheque."
Here are some key points to take note when planning your group meeting:
1. Venue
a) Home Meeting - Make sure your home is tidy and presentable, no noisy kids, no noisy pets, no tv, phone or radio disturbances.
And get a small white board, flip chart or if you can afford it, a home projector system that attaches to your laptop with powerpoint.
If your company has a good DVD, get a DVD player so that you can show the DVD on your TV.
Do not serve heavy meals, alcohol or anything that will make your audience experience the "zzz" monster. Just some light refreshments and water will do.
b) Hotel seminar room meeting -
Check the venue layout and make sure the stage and seating capacity is ok and does not look too shabby.
Check with the hotel management that you will have proper equipment present, like audio/visual, whiteboard, markers, whiteboard erasers, paper and pencils for guests, refreshments or at least some iced water for guests.
Before the meeting, make sure the hotel management have put a notice in the lobby that directs guests towards your function room.
Have a registration counter set up and get some helpers to welcome guests and ask them to sign in so that you know who invited them and also so that you can tally the total number of guests vs members later on.
If there are multiple entry doors to the function room, lock up the doors that are near the stage or speaker's stand to prevent guests from coming in and out from those doors, distracting the audience away from the main speaker.
Finally make sure that the airconditioning is powerful enough so that guests will not feel too warm and drift off into a slumber halfway through the presentation.
All leaders should have VIP seats reserved in front of the room instead of standing at the back, so that they can be the first to applaud and respond to the speaker, thus motivating the rest of the room to participate.
Now, when guests arrive, make sure you have helpers who will direct them to fill up the second row onwards, so that they do not clog up the rear rows leaving the front rows empty. That will make it difficult for other guests to find seats.
And please, no reservation of seats for guests who are late! That is such an irritatingly bad habit. And it's totally unprofessional! So just make sure that the leaders inform their guests that if they are late, seats will not be reserved, as most of the time, it's the leaders themselves who hog the seats for their late guests! I have even seen leaders fighting for seats for their guests... how ugly that can be!
All guests who are late should be asked to sit at the back instead of bringing them to the front rows while the speaker is presenting, so that they do not distract the audience.
Before the meeting starts, play some light but up tempo music in the background so that the guests feel energized and pumped up for an exciting presentation.
And just before the speaker comes up on stage, have someone play the role of emcee to...
1. welcome the audience and thank them for investing their valuable time to attend our presentation today
2. ask them to take out their phones and switch them off or to vibration mode, because the presentation is going to be recorded (this reason always works!)
3. Then introduce the main speaker for the presentation and invite him or her up on stage.
While the speaker is coming up on stage, all the leaders in the front row must stand up, applause and welcome the main speaker on stage. This will create a lot of credibility for the speaker and the audience will really want to hear what he or she has to say later on.
Also, some rock and roll music while the speaker comes up on stage will really wake the audience up.
2. Engage the audience in 2 way communication
While you are presenting to the audience the 8 key points I mentioned above, make sure you engage the audience in 2 way communication.
It's really simple to do this.
Whenever you finish talking about a key point, just ask the audience, "So if this company can help you achieve your dreams, will you be keen to find out how? Say Yes"
Magically, you will hear the audience follow your instructions and say YES... (I always get a kick out of getting the audience to follow my instructions.)
If you have a tough audience who gives you the blind stare... just say "I can't hear you... (then do the famous hulk hogan hand to the ear move and ask again) , I can't hear you people... Say YES." (this will definitely work and most of the time the audience will gladly participate. This will work very well if your leaders take the lead to respond, as they will motivate the rest of the audience to follow)
After you are done with the next key point, do it again. Ask them "So if these products can help you achieve what you want, will be you be interested to find out if it's true? say Yes."
And they will say "YES" again just as if you had hypnotised them.
And after 8 "YES's", guess what?
"So I'm sure everyone here in this room wants to achieve their dreams with our team, am I right? Say YES."
Take a good look around the floor and remember those people who reply with a loud YES!
Those are your future downlines!
As MLM guru Art Jonak (creator of MLMPlayers.com) said,
"Build it once, Build it BIG, Build it to provide a lifetime of income!"

Even if you have no intention of selling your favorite Spiderman comic book collection, it may be nice to know the value of it, if for nothing more than conversational purposes. For one thing, it's just very cool to even have a Spiderman comic book collection, since most people's collections tend to be a bit more random.
But someone who went through the trouble to keep up with an entire series, who has collected the actual set, something like a Batman or a Spiderman comic book collection, has something special. This is especially true considering how many times some of the storylines have split apart or gone off into alternate universes.
The best way to go about appraising the value of your Spiderman comic book collection, or of course, is to start looking at price guides. This is true whether it is a small collection or whether it is quite comprehensive.
But don't look at just one. There are several out there, but what you should do is reference at least three. The Official Overstreet Cartoon Book Price Guide is a popular one, but if you can find a Marvel cartoon book price guide, and a Spiderman comic book price guide, you can get a better idea of the market by comparing your results.
One great thing about The Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is the fact that it is considered by some collectors to be the price guide bible for all kinds of cartoon book collectors. Another great thing is its comprehensive nature.
For instance, you can compare the price of your Spiderman comic book collection to that of other types of collections. Gemstone boasts -well-researched pricing- and -in-depth historical information,- not to mention tips on grading your books.
Markets do strange things sometimes, and that's another reason to have many different sources, like a Spiderman cartoon book cost guide and a Marvel cartoon book price guide. For instance, within the Marvel universe, a Spiderman book collection may fluctuate in value compared to other Marvel comics.
In the meantime, Marvel cartoon books may fluctuate in value compared to Image or DC Comics. So it helps to compare what the markets say about both that specific universe and that specific superhero.
If you want to sell your Spiderman cartoon book collection, the deciding factor is the price you set on it. You can consult various sources, such as the Marvel cartoon book price guide or the Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide.
In the end, though, your personal situation can either make the price higher or lower. If you are hesitant about selling it, make the price higher to make it worth selling. If you need money quickly, give it a price tag that will make it sell faster.
Either way, you have the final word on the price regardless of what your resources suggest for your Spiderman cartoon book collection.

Like Walt Disney and George Lucas, Stan Lee has co-created some of the most iconic characters in pop culture: Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and the Incredible Hulk. Movie's based on his super-characters have generated more than $2.3 billion in U.S. ticket sales. Toys, books and games have generated billions more.
Lee is one of the most important figures in American popular culture. He began working for Marvel (then Timely) Comics in 1939, with his first published work appearing in May 1941. The following year, at age 20, he was editor and chief writer, creating stories for a variety of romance, horror, humor, science-fiction and suspense comics.
By 1960, competitor DC comics had launched a team of superheroes called the Justice League of America. Marvel publisher Martin Goodman demanded a response, and in 1961, Lee and Jack Kirby produced Fantastic Four No. 1. Fan response was phenomenal, with critics today calling the work a masterful step forward in comic-book evolution.
Lee would continue creating and co-creating characters for Marvel over the next two decades. Along the way, he published some of the market's most valuable collectibles, with key issues of Marvel Comics often demanding more than a quarter million dollars.
With the Walt Disney Company in the process of purchasing Marvel Entertainment -- further cementing his status in American culture -- Lee is busier than ever. He most recently launched POW! Entertainment to create, produce and license new characters. He hosted two seasons of the Syfy channel show "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" And he's executive producer of several motion pictures based on Marvel characters (Black Panther, Nick Fury, Thor) that are yet to be released.
Surprisingly, Lee does not consider himself a collector. "Collecting is great," he says with a laugh, "if you have the time for it!"
Q: Of the 15 top-grossing movies in the United States, George Lucas' characters have grossed about $1.2 billion in ticket sales and your characters have grossed $1.1 billion.
A: Damn! He's always beating me! I don't like being in second place!
Q: Do you consider yourself one of the most successful creators in Hollywood?
A: Of course not! Lucas does movies. I only wrote a lot of comic book stories which other people have made into great movies. I had nothing to do with the movies and yet I seem to get so much credit for them. I feel like a phony!
Q: But Lucas created Luke Skywalker, you created Peter Parker. He created Darth Vader, you created Dr. Doom. Lucas wrote the stories, you wrote the stories.
A: Yeah, but he also produced and directed those movies. I didn't have anything to do with the movies. That's the only thing. I think I was very instrumental in making these characters famous and successful as comic book characters. In the comic book field, I did very well and I am happy to accept all the credit that might be heaped upon me. But the movies that have made all this money you're talking about, while they were based on things that I wrote, they were written and directed and acted by other people. I had nothing to do with that. So I would be an idiot to compare myself to a George Lucas. I think I'm cuter! [laughs]
Q: So there you are, working at Marvel Comics for more than 40 years, with comic books all over the place. But you never really collected them?
A: I never had time to be a collector. I was always too busy writing. You know, I'm probably one of the world's greatest hack writers because I got paid for what I wrote. The more I wrote, the more money I made. So I was writing all the time so I could pay my bills. Collecting is great if you have the time for it! Also, when I was writing, I never for a minute thought that years later these comics would turn out to be collectibles.
Q: Your wife Joanie is a collector.
A: Her tastes are very catholic. She was the first person I know who years ago latched on to African art when nobody knew what it was. She was buying these bits of sculpture from Nairobi and God knows where else. She collects paintings, sculpture, antique jewelry, watches. Anything that she finds attractive, she collects.
Q: Even though you had a full plate at Marvel, but wanted to do more. In the late 1950s, you started a newspaper comic, Mrs. Lyons' Cubs with artist Joe Maneely. Then in 1960, you and artist Dan DeCarlo created the Willie Lumpkin comic strip, and that was followed by The Virtue of Vera Valiant, which you did with Frank Springer. In 1977, of course, you launched the Spider-Man newspaper strip. Why the desire to produce a syndicated strip?
A: I was always trying to do something that would break out and be a huge success.
Q: But Stan, wasn't creating Spider-Man keeping you busy enough?
A: I didn't know Spider-Man was that successful in the beginning. It took a few years before I realized we were on to something. I wanted to do something big, but we had bad luck.
Q: But you wanted to be syndicated because ...
A: In those days, newspaper syndication was the big leagues and comic books were the minor leagues, the bush leagues. Maybe if you were good, you would graduate to newspaper syndication. The funny thing is today it's almost reversed.
Q: A few years ago, you started releasing, through Heritage Auction Galleries, your file copies from your days at Marvel. Those included Spider-Man #1, X-Men #1, Amazing Fantasy #15 and Fantastic Four #1.
A: Those books that went to auction were just books that somehow I had accumulated. I didn't save them as part of any savings plan or collection. There might have been a story that I liked that I didn't feel like throwing the book away that quickly. I was always giving the books away! These were just some books that I hadn't gotten around to giving away!
Q: What about original artwork?
A: You know, we never had room. We worked in one little office. ... So we'd give the artwork away, the original artwork, to kids who'd come up to deliver a sandwich, or to a cleaning woman who didn't want it. We didn't know. We'd throw them away. Who knew?
Q: Finally, I have to ask. Did you ever mail off $1 plus 25 cents for postage and handling to get your very own X-Ray Specs?
A: As a matter of fact, Johnson Smith was the company that sold a lot of that stuff. The thing I sent away for most - I sent off for it a few times because I lost one - they have a little gadget that I felt was the most valuable thing in the world, because if you had this, you could do anything! It had a little magnifying glass and a little compass and a little knife blade and God knows what else. How I loved it!

In order to build muscles you need to work out all muscles in your body including deltoids, pectorals, triceps and biceps. Let's not forget our chest muscles as this is one of the reason some men are more attractive than others.
Here are 3 very effective exercises you can perform to build more muscles in your chest area:
1. Pushups. These types of exercises are preferred by many due to the fact that they are very efficient and you do not need any type of extra equipment. Lay on the floor, facing down and keep your torso straight. Place your hands shoulders wide and lower your body until your face is very close to the ground. Push your body up until you reach the initial position.
There are many different pushups styles and each contribute to building chest muscles. You can keep your feet suspended on a bench and this will work your upper chest. You may also clap once when returning to the initial position and this will put extra strain on your muscles. If you find that pushups are too easy, carry a backpack full of heavy books and this will give you the desires resistance.
2. Bench presses. This is also similar to pushups the only difference is using weights as resistance instead of your own body. Lay on a bench and make sure your feet are touching the ground. Keep your hands shoulders wide and lift the weight until your hands are straight. Lower the weight until the bar reaches your chest. Repeat the procedure 6 to 8 times, pause for 1 minute and 2 sets others do.
As push-ups, there are many possibilities, bench press, including inclined to make the bench. This is your upper and lower pectoral muscles to reach the goal and get the best results, a combination of all three is necessary.
3. Dumbbell fly. These are also very effective to increase muscle mass in the chest due to the fact that fly dumbbell exercises with barbells use. Lie on a bench with your feettouch the ground. Start with your hands to cover the sides of the body. Bring the weights in a circular motion until your hands meet. Return to starting position by lowering the weights in a circular motion.
These are the 3 most effective exercises to do to increase your chest muscles can. Also, remember that in order to increase muscle mass, you need to work with heavy loads. Select the weight that you will be able to not more than 8 times and 3 sets of lift with 1 minutePause in between.
